"I created the Thrasher to mimic baitfish in the rivers and lakes around me. Georgia’s state bird is the brown thrasher so I thought this was a perfect name for a streamer pattern.

The fly has stacked and spun deer hair with laser dub over to create the body of the fly.

Deer hair is more buoyant and laser dub holds water and sinks which in turn makes this fly swim erratically hence the name, “Thrasher”.

You can fish it over structure since it has a hover action and it can also sink into deeper pools. It’s a universal fly for any water type."
